Priority for obtaining a protection


A foreign applicant who wants to obtain a protection in Poland may be granted an earlier effective date as result of prior regular application filed in another member country of the Paris Convention.

For patent and utility models the priority application has to be filed within 12 months before the filing date in Poland. For designs and trademarks it has to be done within 6 months.
